Combined in a way specific to each person, these mental states constitute a "motivational profile," which leads us to experience certain situations as pleasant or unpleasant, in other words, motivating or demotivating, and even stressful.
Knowing our motivational profile means we can prioritize pleasant situations where we find motivation, change our mental state to reduce the resulting stress when we have little control over the situation, or even experience the situation as motivating ("reversal").
